Sabah otelimizdeki harika kahvaltıdan sonra erkenden Hanoi'yi turlamaya çıktık.

Old quarter'ın ara sokaklarında aranırken St. Joseph Cathedral'ının oralarda acentayı bulduk ve bir gün sonrası için Red Dragon Junk'ta bir gece/iki günlük tur ayarladık, üstelik son dakika indirimi bile aldık. Tabi Halong Bay turunu önceden ayarlamakta fayda olabilir, şayet yer kalmayabilir, ya da işiniz şansa kalabilir.
Buradan çıkıp Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum'a yürüdük. Burası çok geniş ve açıklık bir yer, hava da çok ısındığından biraz oyalanıp Ho Chi Minh Museum'a geçtik. Burada kültürlenip soluklandıktan sonra da West Lake'e yürüdük.
Yol boyunca bol bol resim çektik, video çektik, oturduk, kalktık, yürüdük, yürüdük, göldeki Tran Quoc Pagoda'ya vardık.

Yol boyunca bol bol resim çektik, video çektik, oturduk, kalktık, yürüdük, yürüdük, göldeki Tran Quoc Pagoda'ya vardık.
Dönüş için taksi çevirmek istedik ama boş taksi bulamayınca Mausoleum'a kadar geri yürümüşüz. Sonunda oralarda boş bir Mai Linh taksiye atlayıp, otelimize gittik.
Otelde giyinip süslendikten sonra akşam yemegi için Nha Hang Ngon restoran'a gitmeye karar verdik. Burası çok büyük ve kalabalık bir restoran, çok geniş bir avlusu var, mutfak da masalar da burada açıkta. Henüz sokakta yemeğe cesaret edemediğimiz ve sokak yemeklerini de tatmak istediğimiz için burayı tercih ettik. Farklı bir restoran, yemekleri de güzel, tavsiye ederiz.
Yemeğin üstüne mutlu midelerimizi taksiye bindirip otelimize gittik. Bavullarımızı hazırlayıp yattık.
Sabahin altısında uyandık. Acele aşağı inip önce kahvaltı ettik sonra da otelden çıkışımızı yaptık (Meracus old quarter'da, çok merkezi, genelde görülecek yerlere de yürüme mesafesinde bir otel. Biz çok beğendik; yeri güzel, odalar güzel, fiyatı uygun, çalışanlar çok iyi, kahvaltı da harikaydı).
Saat 7:50'de turun aracı otelden gelip bizi aldı (İki çeşit araç var, luxury olanı tavsiye ederiz. Hem kablosuz internet var, hem de az kişi geniş rahat koltuklarda yolculuk ediyorsunuz, üstelik çok az bir fiyat farkına).
Yolculuk arada hediyelik eşya mağazasındaki molayla birlikte aşağı yukarı 4 saat sürdü. Halong Bay'e vardık ve 11 kişilik grubumuzla birlikte Red Dragon Junk'a geçtik. İki gün/bir gecelik turumuz da başlamış oldu.

After an excellent breakfast, we got going for a walking city tour.
First, we headed to Indochina Junk tour agency to book our Halong Bay tour.
In the back streets of the old quarter, somewhere near the St. Joseph Cathedral, we found their office. We booked a one night/two days tour with the Red Dragon Junk and as a last minute booking we even got some discount. (Leaving the booking to last minute can be tricky since they fill out too quickly.)
After leaving this place, we went to the Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum. The sun was shining bright and the weather was getting hotter so we looked around a bit at this vast area and then walked to the Ho Chi Minh Museum, where we got ourselves informed with the local history and had a break from the weather.
Next stop was West Lake. We walked there for some time to see the Tran Quoc Pagoda. After seeing this lovely pagoda, and taking lots of pictures in the meantime, we decided to take a taxi back to our hotel. While searching for an available taxi, we found ourselves walking back to the Mausoleum, where we finally managed to stop a Mai Linh taxi (Mai Linh or Vinasun were recommended only).
So we went to our hotel, changed our clothes and then went to the Nha Hang Ngon restaurant. They serve street food in a stylish courtyard of an old building. We liked the food and the ambience and can recommend this place.
Later, we took a taxi back to our hotel, did our luggages, and then went to sleep.
Next day, we woke up ealy in the morning, had breakfast and at around 7:50 am the tour shuttle came to pick us up. (By the way, we booked the luxury van which had wireless connection and comfortable seats with few passengers.)
After a 4 hour trip to Halong Bay, where we had a break in a souvenir shop meanwhile, we managed to reach to the port and started our two day tour with 9 other guests.
